FESTIVAL OUTFIT IDEAS:

For Women

Let’s start with your feet - lightweight wellies are a great place to begin, you could choose a classic hue that blends with everything or be a bit ‘out there’ with a patterned or coloured choice - Joules have an abundance of options including ankle wellies and full length ones! (remember with our quality you’ll be wearing them for years to come!). Pair these with comfy socks (and a lot of them) so that if you do take a tumble with a wine in hand or get caught short when you mis-interpret the depth of a puddle - you won’t be wet through for the rest of the day. A practical packable raincoat is also a must! The perfect size to fit into your rucksack when you're on the move to protect against unexpected showers.

Our ladies’ chino shorts or a skirt are always a great incorporation when it comes to festival shopping as they can really elevate your look. Team these with a classic vest top or striped shirt for a timeless yet modern finish. It’s good to have multiple of these items left in your tent or base if you’ll be partying for more than a couple of days.

Don’t forget to pack a half-zip sweatshirt or one of our cosy women’s fleeces for the cooler evenings!

For accessories and small extra pieces that won’t take up too much room- configuring a large silk scarf into a bandeau could be handy for if the heat gets too much and sunglasses will majorly lift your style choices whilst being functional and fundamental if the sun is shining.

Our preppy ladies’ rugby shirts will be sure to enhance your wardrobe if the weather is cooler but make sure you’ve got a t-shirt to hand for if the sun decides to shine. Style them with a pair of elasticated trousers for all day long comfort look and why not add a hair scrunchie for good measure?

If you’re lucky enough to be by the beach, these festivals require a bit more of a complex packing plan. Of course we would hope for bare feet in the sand, but in the UK this might not always be possible. Be sure to include all of the above with some ankle wellies for wading through the wet sand and some flip flops for when the sun decides to shine.

Be prepared with a swimming costume in case you decide to take a dip, once the sun decides to put its hat on. Talking of hats - they're a must have for a festival by the beach, a cap or a bucket hat - it’s up to you but you’ll need one.

FESTIVAL OUTFIT IDEAS:

For Men

We know you’ll be packing for him so let us simply break it down for you and save you the hassle. A capsule and sensible selection of clothing and footwear is key when it comes to spending time at a festival and for adding to his everyday wardrobe. The weather is bound to change so it’s good for him to always have some kind of rain protection to hand.

At Joules we have so much choice when it comes to outerwear. You could pick out a classic raincoat or opt for a compact mac that can be easily packed away. At least if he’s forgotten where his tent is due to having one too many, you’ll have peace of mind knowing he’s protected from the elements!

If the weather is cooler but dry our men’s fleeces or a half-zip jumper could be handy too, this can be styled with a polo shirt underneath.

Men’s chino shorts are probably the best bet when it comes to the bottom half as they’re a can’t-go-wrong style and can be teamed with one of our iconic rugby shirts or a striped shirt.

By the sea? stick to the above and throw in a pair of our men’s swimming shorts and a towel with a hat and sunglasses to start building. If it’s warmer, sandals and a flamboyant Hawaiian shirt could be excellent investments that will see him through the summer months.
