About Louisa Russell
Louisa Russell has always been inspired by the beauty and timeless elegance of flowers. She loves spending time in gardens and meadows, collecting flowers and leaves to press and dry. The Pressed Flowers collection features these English flowers; they are turned into silver jewellery with the process of metal casting. Beautiful floral jewellery that is versatile enough to take you from the daytime, to a glamorous evening out with ease. Louisa has always been fascinated by flowers, leaves, seed pods and the incredible textures, patterns and shapes nature has to offer. From her English garden studio, she works in silver; her handcrafted designs often are accented with 24 Carat gold details on the jewellery using an ancient Korean technique - Keum Boo. The silver jewellery is heated and quenched at least 7 times to prepare the surface for the gold. The gold is then fused onto the jewellery using heat and pressure. Every gold addition is slightly unique and truly one of a kind.
